About
Solv is a training intelligence app that answers the question every athlete asks: "Is what I'm doing actually working?"
Unlike fitness trackers that show you what happened, Solv shows you what it means. It synthesizes your workouts, nutrition, recovery, and body composition into clear, actionable insights.
Getting Started
Grant HealthKit Access — When you first open Solv, you'll be asked to allow access to Apple Health. Grant access to workouts, heart rate, body measurements, and nutrition data.
Let it Sync — Solv will automatically read your existing data from Apple Health. This may take a moment depending on how much data you have.
Import Strength Training (Optional) — If you use the Iron app for strength training, go to Settings and tap "Import from Iron" to bring in your exercise details (sets, reps, weights).
Explore Your Insights — The Home tab shows your trajectory and whether your training is working. Tap into Training for details, and Fuel to see if nutrition supports your goals.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the app show "Need more data"?
Solv needs at least 3 workouts in the last 21 days to calculate meaningful trends. Keep logging training data and the insights will appear.
What data does Solv need?
Solv reads from Apple Health: workouts, heart rate, resting heart rate, body weight, body fat percentage, data of birth and nutrition (calories, protein, carbs, fat). The more data available, the better the insights.
How do I import from the Iron app?
In Iron, go to Settings > Backup & Export > Workout Data> TXT > Save to Files. Then in Solv, go to Settings > Import Iron Data > Go to the folder where you've save the txt file and select it. The Solv import process will NOT import duplciates.
How do I import from other fitness apps?
We have plans to import data from other fitness apps. To prioritize your favorite app, please submit
Support Request
Why is my nutrition showing as "Limiting"?
Solv compares your nutrition intake to your training demands. "Limiting" means your current intake may not fully support your training load. Check protein and calorie sufficiency in the Fuel tab.
Does Solv upload my data anywhere?
No. All analysis happens on your device. Solv has zero cloud sync, zero servers, zero tracking. Your health data never leaves your phone.
Why do I need to grant HealthKit write permission?
iOS requires apps to request both read and write permissions together for HealthKit, even if the app only reads data. Solv never writes to Apple Health.
What apps work with Solv?
Any app that writes to Apple Health works with Solv. For nutrition: MyFitnessPal, Cronometer, Noom, MacroFactor. For workouts: Apple Fitness, Strava, Strong. For strength details, currently, only Iron app (via text import).
How are projections calculated?
Solv analyzes your 21-day trends for weight, strength, and endurance, then projects where you'll be in 6 weeks if current patterns continue. Confidence levels reflect data quality and consistency.
