Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Solv ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Description of Service
Solv is a fitness analytics application that:
- Reads workout and body composition data from Apple HealthKit
- Reads date of birth for max Heart Rate determination
- Imports exercise details from third-party fitness apps (Currently Iron)
- Provides training analytics, insights, and suggestions
- Tracks progressive overload and muscle group training
- Visualizes trends and outcomes
NOT Medical Advice - Important Disclaimer
SOLV IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE AND DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE.
- The App is designed for general fitness purposes only
- All information, analytics, and recommendations are for informational purposes
- The App is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or illness
- Do not use the App as a substitute for professional medical advice
- Always consult with a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new exercise program or making changes to your training routine
Emergency Situations: If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call emergency services immediately. Do not rely on the App for emergency medical assistance.
User Eligibility and Age Requirements
Age Requirements
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the App
- Users under 18 require parental or guardian consent
- Users under 13 are prohibited from using the App (COPPA compliance)
Health Requirements
- You should be in good health to engage in physical training
- Consult a physician before using the App if you have any medical conditions
- Do not use the App if you have been advised against physical exercise
License and Usage Rights
Grant of License
Solv grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- Install and use the App on your personal iOS devices
- Access the App's features for personal, non-commercial use
Restrictions
You may NOT:
- Sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
- Use the App for commercial purposes without permission
Your Data and Content
Data Ownership
- You retain all rights to your health and fitness data
- We do not claim ownership of any data you input or generate
- All data remains on your device (see Privacy Policy)
Data Export & Deletion
- The app analyzes data from your iOS Health app
- You can delete your data at any time by deleting the App
- You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data
HealthKit Integration
- Solv only reads data from HealthKit
- The App does not write or modify HealthKit data
- You control HealthKit permissions through iOS Settings
- Use of HealthKit data complies with Apple's guidelines
- Data is not used for advertising, marketing, or sold to third parties
Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
"AS IS" Disclaimer
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy or reliability of content
No Guarantee of Results
- We do not guarantee any specific fitness or health outcomes
- Individual results may vary
- Training recommendations are general guidance only
- The App cannot predict or prevent injuries
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- We are not liable for any injuries, health issues, or medical conditions
- We are not liable for data loss or corruption
- Total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App (if any)
Assumption of Risk
By using Solv, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Physical exercise involves inherent risks
- You assume all risks associated with using the App and following its recommendations
- You are responsible for your own health and safety
- You will exercise safely and within your capabilities
Intellectual Property
Solv and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by the developer and protected by international copyright laws, trademark laws, and other intellectual property rights.
"Solv" and related logos are trademarks. You may not use these without permission.
Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice.
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.
We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
